After an aborted start in 2007, we finally got underway on the 2nd of Oct, 2009 and will put the updates on the TN River portion of "Our Logbook".  Please click that nav button at the left and go there for our updates that will arrive as Internet access permits.
 

Well, here it is June of 2009 and I am once again pounding away on this site.  We went to the America's Great Loop Cruisers Association rendezvous at Joe Wheeler State Park on Joe Wheeler Lake in Alabama in Oct of 2007, so we will not attend this one this year, but did enjoy the last one.

There were 78 boats there, and 240 "loopers" attended.  Many good lectures and lots of good advice.  The meeting was held in the large and very nice lodge there.  Below I have inserted a group photo of the loopers.

We have worked very hard to arrange our lives, our affairs, and our business transactions in such a way as to allow us to be absent for the better part of a year.  We have also done all we can to ensure that the boat is ready, and have enough spare parts on board to practically build a second boat!  We have about $1200 dollars worth of charts and cruise-guides, as well as a GPS navigation system with moving map type charts.  We also have an autopilot to steer and follow a course.
